How to print coloring pages at home without cropped edges

Print a coloring page from a computer
- Download the original PDF, PNG or JPG. Use the actual download rather than a screenshot or a small product-preview image. If it arrives in a ZIP, extract the files first.
- Open the file. For a PDF, use a PDF reader. For an image, use an app that lets you preview its size and position on the sheet.
- Select Print and choose your printer. Check that you are printing the drawing, not the shop page or a download instruction document.
- Match the paper loaded in the tray. Select A4 or US Letter as appropriate, and choose portrait or landscape to suit the design.
- Check scaling and margins. Use the preview to confirm that the entire drawing is visible. Choose one page from a multi-page book for your first test.
- Choose a suitable paper and quality setting. Start with Normal or Standard for line art and select the media type recommended for your paper.

Should you choose Fit, Actual size or 100%?
There is no single setting that is right for every download. Ordinary home printers often leave a non-printable margin. A page can match the sheet size and still have artwork too close to its edges.

A4 and US Letter are different sizes
A4 is 210 × 297 mm. US Letter is 8.5 × 11 inches, approximately 216 × 279 mm. Choose the matching download if the product includes both. Otherwise, use the print preview to scale the supplied design to your paper without cutting off its edges.
Printing a landscape page in portrait orientation can leave very large margins. Check orientation before changing the scale. Keep the image proportions linked if your printing app offers width and height controls.
Black-and-white and print quality settings
For black line art, start with a black-and-white or grayscale option if your printer offers it. Some models also provide a separate black-ink-only setting. Grayscale does not universally mean that no colour ink is used; the behaviour depends on the printer and its selected media mode.
Normal or Standard quality is a useful first test for fine outlines. Draft or economy settings may be suitable for practice sheets but can make delicate lines faint. Compare one page before using a lower-quality setting for the whole book. Ink savings vary, so there is no reliable percentage that applies to every printer.
How to print a coloring page from a phone or tablet
Save the original download to your device and open it in a PDF or image app with a print option. Use that app’s Share or Print menu, select a compatible printer, and check the paper size, orientation and page range. Your printer may require its manufacturer’s app or a supported device printing service.
If the mobile dialog does not offer the scale or margin controls you need, use the printer’s supported app or print from a computer. Avoid taking a screenshot of the page: it can reduce detail and include interface elements.
